Time tracking for DataLøn
Time tracking and scheduling for DataLøn
Employees clock in and out in Monoplan, and you approve the hours. One file then moves hours and allowances into DataLøn, so nobody types them in again.
- 30-day free trial
- No payment card
No double entry
Hours are recorded once in Monoplan and moved to DataLøn with one file.
Fewer payroll mistakes
You approve hours, breaks and corrections before downloading the file. What you approved is what goes into DataLøn.
Allowances included
Each allowance gets a pay part and is included as one total amount for the period.

How it works
From time clock to DataLøn
What you approve in Monoplan is what goes into DataLøn.
- Employees clock in
- Hours are recorded in the app or on a shared device while the workday happens.
- You approve the hours
- A manager reviews hours, breaks and corrections and approves the period.
- One file for DataLøn
- Download the DataLøn file and import it into DataLøn before running payroll.
For your payroll administrator
What needs to be set up the first time
An administrator enables DataLøn under Settings → Integrations and fills in the DataLøn setup. The details already exist in DataLøn.
- Company number and pay period
- Your DataLøn company number and pay period. 51 is selected by default because Monoplan's pay period is monthly.
- Payroll numbers
- Each employee's payroll number in Monoplan must match their employee number in DataLøn.
- Pay part for hours
- One pay part for all hourly employees, for example 1213 for normal hours, or one per position.
- Pay part for allowances
- Each allowance needs a four-character pay part.
- Approved period
- The file can only be downloaded once the pay period is approved.
Contents
What goes into the file
The file has no header, semicolons between fields and a decimal comma. Lines with the same employee, pay part and rate are added together, just as DataLøn does on import.
- Hours for the period
- Approved hours per employee and pay part for the whole pay period, after rounding, breaks and corrections.
- Rates from DataLøn
- By default only the hours are sent, and DataLøn uses the rate from the employee's fixed pay parts. You can choose to send the hourly wage from Monoplan as well.
- Allowances as amounts
- Each allowance is included as one total amount for the period.
- Fixed salaries
- Fixed salaries are not in the file. DataLøn calculates them itself.
- Leave and absence
- Register leave and absence directly in DataLøn. If absence is recorded in Monoplan for the period, the DataLøn file cannot be downloaded.
Questions about Monoplan and DataLøn
Does Monoplan integrate with DataLøn?
Monoplan creates a payroll file that you import into DataLøn. It is a file export, not an API connection, so no data is sent automatically between the systems.
Which plan includes the DataLøn payroll file?
Payroll files are included in Pro, which costs DKK 30 per active employee per month with a 12-month commitment, or DKK 35 without commitment. Prices exclude VAT, and you pay for at least 10 active employees.
What does the DataLøn file look like?
The file follows DataLøn's import format for flexible pay parts: seven fields per line, separated by semicolons, with no header and a decimal comma. The line 00012345;51;1234;1213;;82,50; means 82.50 normal hours for employee 1234 in the period.
Which rate is used for the hours?
By default the rate from the employee's fixed pay parts in DataLøn, so Monoplan only sends the hours. If you prefer the hourly wage from Monoplan, choose it in the DataLøn setup.
Are allowances included in the file?
Yes. Each allowance gets a pay part and is included as one total amount for the period.
Are leave and absence included?
No. Register leave and absence directly in DataLøn. If absence is recorded in Monoplan for the period, the DataLøn file cannot be downloaded.
What if hours need correcting after the export?
An owner or administrator can reopen the period, correct the hours and approve again. Then download a new file and make sure the same hours are not imported into DataLøn twice.
Do we still use DataLøn for payroll itself?
Yes. Monoplan is not a payroll system. Monoplan brings together schedules, hours and allowances, and DataLøn calculates and pays wages. The employer is responsible for correct rates and payroll runs.
What if we use a different payroll system?
See the overview of payroll files and integrations. Monoplan can also create a payroll file for Danløn or a generic CSV file for your bookkeeper or payroll system.
